No. Several very good FTP clients can be found on the Internet at no cost. We recommend using Filezilla which may be downloaded from the following location http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/filezilla/FileZilla_2_2_26a_setup.exe?download . Check for updates to this software after you install it to ensure you have the latest version. You may decide to purchase a FTP client if you need more advanced features. -
Is FTP transfer difficult?
No! FTP transfers can be as simple as dragging a folder of images from one folder to another. -
Will my Mac be able to do FTP transfers?

What is the most common cause of problems with FTP transfers?
Incorrect setup of firewalls are the most common problem.
Overlapping wireless networks present problems in areas such as apartments or other high density locations.
Modems or routers preset to block ports 20 and 21 from Internet access.
ISPs sometimes disable FTP transfers through their systems. Most ISPs will make special arrangements on a case by case basis to allow FTP transfers if you request it.
Bad weather or downed communication lines between the sender and the receiver. -
